“I must say [your jam] is absolutely fantastic. I eat it right out of the jar with a spoon.” A direct quote from one of the many praising customer testimonials from Montreal’s latest craze, Preservation Society. The founder and creative genius behind these concoctions has a background in pastry working under the likes of Quebec pastry celebrity Patrice Demers and one of our all time faves Michelle Marek, Laloux’s ex-pastry chef.
Jams and marmalades, relishes and chutneys, pickled vegetables and eggs(!!). These are only a few of the can’t-put-the-jar-down creations that we are lucky to be able to savour every day. Ibrilo loves sharing its favourite things with you, and so we’re sharing this gem with you too.
Here is a sampler kit of Preservation Society’s jams and marmalades. It includes:
- One pot of La Belle Helene (a pear-based jam that features chocolate and violet extract to spoon over a scoop of vanilla ice cream),
- One pot of Pink Grapefruit-Honey Marmalade (a rosy slightly bitter marmalade that is so simple, yet so perfect when paired with your favourite morning yogurt and granola)
- One pot of Rhume Rx (based on the classic cold remedy combination of ginger, lemon, honey, bourbon and cayenne – a jelly-like form with chunky ginger crystals to smear on toast, mix in with your favourite tea, or spoon into a glass of Bourbon and lemon fizz)
This is no supermarket marmalade. Treat yourself and your loved ones to a special flavour rush.
3 pots of 270 mL
